Insurance

Health insurance in PA offers very limited reimbursement for acupuncture services, and I am not able to participate in insurance at this time. If your plan offers out of network coverage, I can provide detailed receipts for you to submit for reimbursement.

FSA+HSA

FSA+HSA accounts also often include acupuncture. Check your program details to confirm. Payment receipts can be provided as needed.

Pay More Or Less:

Suggestions on where to place yourself within the scale

Please keep in mind that these are only suggested guidelines.
You are the only one who knows your particular budget and financial situation, and only you can decide what is an affordable amount for your budget.

Consider paying higher on the scale if you:

  • travel recreationally

  • work part time by choice

  • can afford to take time off

  • regularly eat out, buy new clothes, attend cultural events without worrying much about your budget

  • own the home you live in

  • have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money

  • have access to family money and resources in times of need

  • have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.) Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, I ask you to recognize this as a choice.

Consider paying towards the middle of the scale if you:

  • may stress about meeting basic needs but are regularly able to meet them

  • have some debt but it doesn’t prohibit attainment of basic needs

  • have some savings

  • have adequate employment

Consider paying less on the scale if you:

  • are not always able to meet basic needs

  • rarely buy new items because you are unable to afford them

  • are supporting children or have other dependents

  • have been denied work due to incarceration history

  • have faced employment discrimination

  • have immigration-related expenses

  • are an elder with limited financial support

  • have medical expenses not covered by insurance

  • are an unpaid community organizer
