New Moon Acupuncture is a welcoming and judgement free health care environment.

Here, we don’t believe in a “one size fits all” health care model. Every body has different needs for their best health and well being. That includes individuals seeking natural healthcare options, those seeking support through surgical treatments or medically managed treatments, weight that doesn’t conform with standard BMI charts, and so many other different lifestyle or healthcare choices. We never assume your gender or what type of relationship(s) you may or may not participate in, and only discuss what is within your comfort zone and relevant to your healthcare needs. Different treatment plans and healthcare approaches are needed to reach those very individual needs.

Accessibility - General

The offices of New Moon Acupuncture are not a scent free environment: some of the treatment tools we use have strongly scented herbs or oils. We do, however, avoid all synthetic fragrances and clean sheets and surfaces with non-scented products.

We ask that you abstain from using any artificial fragrances or perfumes before coming into the office.

Transport:

Busses 61B, 71, and P71 stop on Braddock Ave and Charleston, a .2mi walk away.

If arriving by car, please park along the house on either Lancaster Ave or Charleston St to avoid disturbing the neighbors.

Building:

There are two sets of 4 steps in the front of the house, as well as a raised entry. Inform us advance if you may need assistance up the stairs and we will make sure to be available.

All furniture has a minimum 300lb weight tolerance. The bathroom and secondary treatment room are a bit cozy but are still able to accommodate all sizes.

Allergies:

We sometimes foster dogs, though they are never allowed in the treatment spaces and spend only minimal time in the waiting room (mostly passing through from the stairwell to the back door). We also have active air filters in the waiting and treatment rooms. If you still have concerns about dog allergies, please speak with Ece in advance of your first appointment.

Please let your acupuncturist know about any skin allergies you have. Treatments may involve various herbal oils or salves. Ingredients may include sesame or sunflower oil, vitamin E derived from non-GMO soy, cinnamon, peppermint, and many other essential oils.

If you are seeking any particular accessibility accommodation that you do not see on this page, please reach out to know how we can better serve you and others.
